Benefit for Jack

from KIMT 9/15/12

MASON CITY, IA - A fundraiser for a Mason City man who suffered a terrible motorcycle accident earlier this summer, is serving as a lesson for riders and drivers alike.

The "Jack Larson Benefit" took place this afternoon in the Mason City Honda parking lot as a fundraiser to help with the families extensive medical bills.

Larson suffered multiple injuries which required surgery on his leg and clavicle after a truck pulled out in front of him on the highway.

He says his accident is a good warning for all motorists.

Larson said, "Drivers just need to recognize us a little more. If they look one way and think that it's all clear, they actually need to take a second glance just to make sure before they pull out so that the can actually see it's safe."

The event featured lunch, inflatables, and tons of donated raffle prizes. All proceeds go to the Larson family.
